Blog Series: The Overflow of God's #Peace, Being at Peace with Your SISTAHS | @TheSISTAHSMinistry @MinisterCeleste

We need to be considerate about & at peace with one another.

But that’s not the attitude of a lot of people today. They’re convinced that if you don’t gripe & complain & argue & fight for everything you want in life, you’ll never get it. So you’ll hear them saying such things as "Me first, & everybody else last," & "It’s my way, or no way!"

It’s important that we pledge to one another & to God that we’ll not allow ourselves to be used as pawns in the hand of Satan to harbor pain and resentment with one another. As we serve God together, we can experience the overflow of peace.

"The meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace."
(Psalm 37:11)

Blog Series: The Overflow of God's #Peace, Grow in Peace | @TheSISTAHSMinistry @MinisterCeleste

The truth is peace comes from God. I can’t have peace with God until I have claimed responsibility for my will. But after we claim responsibility we have to surrender our lives to Jesus.

Before you can have real peace with others you have to find peace with God. There is a lot made about people finding God and making peace with God but I can tell you it’s not something that you get to do at the end of your life. It’s something you need to do as you grow in your life in Jesus.

"Great peace have they who love God's law, and nothing can make them stumble."
(Psalm 119:165)

Blog Series: The Overflow of God's #Peace, Our Responsibility of Peace | @TheSISTAHSMinistry @MinisterCeleste

When we focus on what He has done rather than on what he hasn’t done or what we want done we will find our attitude will be a grateful one rather than an anxious one.

How are you going to get honest with God and give him your burdens when you won’t even get real about what those burdens are?  You need to accept responsibility for your life and your choices. It’s impossible to give your life to Jesus if you never owned your choices and owned up to your life. If we are doing our best to live at peace with all people, we must learn to treat people properly.

"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.  And be thankful."
(Colossians 3:15)

Blog Series: The Overflow of God's #Peace, @TheSISTAHSMinistry @MinisterCeleste

Throughout history humanity have been in the habit of building walls.  Of building walls to bring comfort, safety and peace.  When a problem arises we often want to put walls up.  For us to have peace with God and with others Jesus is essential.  It is Jesus who we need to be focused on.  It is Jesus who brings us peace.

"You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you."
(Isaiah 26:3)

Blog Series: The Overflow of God's #Peace, Let Peace Rule | @TheSISTAHSMinistry @MinisterCeleste

An umpire is in control of a game his decisions guide and control the game being played. In the same way peace should rule the believer’s heart. Peace should be the controlling and dominant force in a believer’s life. During sports events we all see calls made that we don’t agree with or even understand, yet everyone accepts the final authority of the official, referee of umpire, whether we understand their decision or not. The same should be true with God’s Peace in our lives it should rule our hearts, our lives, and guide our choices and decisions.

"Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us."
(Isaiah 26:12)
